Diddy posted a pic to instagram that said, No social media at dinner -Dad, Lol Cute, but how bout a social media fast? Do ever you wonder why someone deactivates their Facebook or Twitter account? I did this past week (I mean I deactivated my FB account) and I didn’t go through any withdrawals or anything cray like that.
I did it because I felt like I was going into something like a social media overload! Hearing all the trends, talking about what he/she said on Facebook/Twitter… Posting pictures of every move I make.
Sidebar: I don’t know about you but I think I look good making moves;) LOL gosh I’m corny!
Some people I know don’t have a social network account and like it that way. For whatever reason some just don’t need the extra drama or what I like to call entertainment.
Yes, my family, friends and the celebs I follow keep me quite entertained. Sometimes it’s enlightening, sometimes it’s hysterically funny and sometimes… sometimes it’s just well sometimes I’m left wondering. We’ll just leave it at that;) Mmmk
One thing we can’t deny is social media has bridged the gap in communication in some ways. I love that I can communicate with my family on Facebook. I love to see all the pictures posted because I can’t be there with them. Oh my goodness especially my sister and her family! Those babies are to die for ok! I love my nieces and nephew!
It’s good to see that people are doing well, but I know for some folks they’re waiting… waiting patiently for you to fall from the good place you’re in.
Who you date, where you’re at, what you got on… What you ate and how annoyed you are at the girl behind you who is smacking her gum (which you don’t have the courage to tell, give your jaws a break), so you post it to your timeline. All those subliminal post/comments about your baby’s mother/father…
All of the above were SOME of the reasons I gave the social media a rest. I missed out on some things but looks like Chris Brown and I were on the same page as far as deleting accounts and such. LOL
Now I know that this isn’t new to some because I can list a few people (men in particular) that deactivate their accounts on a regular basis.
FYI: If you’re looking to cheat and NOT looking to get caught up, Facebook,Twitter, etc. is not for you boo.
This is the perfect example of too much of something being bad! Naturally, I’m a bit of a hermit. I love my alone time, but I think too much social networking has isolated me from the world. Taking a break opened my eyes to it. I feel better now:)
This is just scratching the surface. I just thought I would shed more light on the situation.
Can you live your life without the social media? Do you have a life outside of it? Get yo life! LOL I’m trying to get mine!
I went to the club on Saturday and I was a lil bored! I mean the music couldn’t even get me into it! Even the high-yellow chick (dancing all over the club), tried to battle me and couldn’t get me to give it all I got full-out. I mean she was doing the dougie and everything. LOL it was the highlight of my night though and the human interaction brought a smile to my face. We had a 2 song dance off we complimented each other and kept it pushin.
Sidebar: When I say get yo life, I’m not saying to get it like how others are getting it… I’m saying get it how you live it. Live for you and do what makes your heart happy.
We spend our days sitting in front of our computers or scrolling through our phones that we miss the beauty right in front of us.
